Christmas with Style and a Cause: Stellabration at Selfridges

Updated: May 19

Last year, I had the pleasure of visiting Stella McCartney’s pop-up store at Selfridges in London during the Christmas season. This special project, called “Stellabration,” opened on December 11, 2023, and ran until December 28, 2023.

From the moment I entered, I was impressed by the unique atmosphere. At the center of the space was “The Lucky Light Show” — a collection of neon lights previously used in Stella McCartney’s past displays and window installations, recycled and reimagined for this project. It was not just a decoration, but a reflection of the brand’s commitment to sustainability and reducing waste during the holiday season.

The deconstructed Christmas tree was covered with an eclectic mix of holiday ornaments from previous years, once used as decorations, carefully preserved and stylishly arranged.

As the holiday season approaches once again, the memory of “Stellabration” continues to inspire me. I believe that through conscious choices and creativity, we can create fashion that not only looks good, but also does good for our planet.
